Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Service Supervisor to lead our Thunder Bay Service Division, with potential future oversight of the Winnipeg area. This role involves managing various service lines including VFSS, Fire & Life Safety Equipment, Respiratory, Instrumentation, Fall Arrest, T&C, and Rentals. As a working Field Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the success of our service team through leadership, hands-on support, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor the service team, ensuring they have the technical knowledge and training needed to excel in their roles.
  • Operational Management: Oversee the hands-on management of service technicians and branch operations. Work closely with the Regional Service Manager to meet productivity and financial targets.
  • Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and compliance programs. Lead safety audits and maintain safety records.
  • Training & Mentorship: Plan and facilitate technical and field training for technicians, both on-site and remotely. Provide ongoing coaching and support.

Key Areas of Focus:

  • Set team business objectives, safety targets, and long-term regional goals.
  • Coordinate service assets, subcontractors, and customer project management.
  • Drive accident-free operations through safety adherence and audits.
  • Foster customer retention through high-quality service delivery.

 

Role Requirements

  • Prior experience in a supervisory role, ideally with a background in fire and safety or industrial operations.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a thorough understanding of industrial operations.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, including to remote locations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficient with various computer systems and tools.
  • As this is a working supervisory role, you must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and operate from ladders.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment checks such as a background check, drug and alcohol test and possess a clean driving record.
