Levitt-Safety has an exciting opportunity for an experienced technician to join our team as a Shop Service Technician in Sudbury, ON.

About the Role

Your role will include diverse maintenance and repair activities including:

• Inspecting, repairing, and providing maintenance of fire equipment such as extinguishers and other types of fire & life safety equipment
• Conducting fire extinguisher inspections, maintenance, and audits, with value-add suggestions for follow-up and maintenance
• Performing site-specific training for owners and end-users

Ideal Qualifications

• Experience working in a mechanical shop or equivalent hands-on role with vehicles or other motorized equipment
• Basic electrical knowledge and mechanical aptitude with experience working with power and hand tools
• A valid drivers’ license and clean drivers abstract
• Prior customer service experience and great communication skills
• Forklift operator certification is an asset

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted, coupled with good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Able to pass pre-employment and periodic drug and alcohol testing as well as criminal background checks
• Ability to pass pre-employment checks which include drug and alcohol testing, criminal background check and a clean driver's abtract.
