Job Summary 

We are seeking a dynamic Field Service Supervisor responsible for the success of the Quebec Service Division (Fire Systems & Alarms, VFSS, Fire & Life Safety Emergency Equipment, Respiratory, Instrumentation, Fall Arrest, T&C and Rentals). This position is that of a working Field Supervisor.

 

Main Responsibilities

Planning

  • Develop and implement team business plans and objectives.
  • Establish and monitor safety targets.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Align regional service goals with long-term organizational objectives.

Management

  • Provide hands-on management of service technicians to achieve all targets.
  • Assist the regional service manager and help oversee branch operations, service assets, and subcontractors.
  • Manage customer projects as needed, including PCs and related tasks.

Business Development

  • Collaborate with the sales division to maximize customer profitability and expand the service portfolio.
  • Conduct joint customer strategy planning sessions.
  • Perform customer site visits, needs analyses, deployment planning, and service-related demonstrations and assessments.

Safety/Environmental/Compliance

  • Strive for an accident-free workplace through adherence to safety programs.
  • Communicate safety and compliance information effectively.
  • Participate in and organize audits.
  • Maintain safety and compliance systems/records.
  • Manage deficiencies and develop corrective action plans.

Training/Mentorship

  • Plan, organize, and facilitate staff training for both technical/field work and internal company requirements.
  • Develop, deploy, and audit team training plans in alignment with branch goals.
  • Provide coaching in the field and remotely.
  • Coordinate with other training assets to ensure quality work.
  • Utilize PCs, documentation management, and HR resources for employee success.

 

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years in the fire and life safety service industry, with a preference for over 5 years of experience.
  • Prior experience as a team lead or supervisor is preferable.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to use your judgement, tact and diplomacy where needed.
  • Flexibility and the ability to make decisions, analyze, and handle diverse work tasks.
  • Must be able to manage high-pressure situations with a balanced approach.
  • This role is one of a working supervisor; required to perform regular duties as a technician and supervisory responsibilities.
  • Comfortable with frequent travel.
  • Bilingual, comfortable with both English and French. 
  • Ability to pass pre-employment checks, including a background check, drug and alcohol test, and a clean driving abstract.
