Job Summary
As a Customer Service Representative for our Safety Prescription Eyewear (Rx) department, based in Oakville, you will be responsible for working with our customers to help them choose the best product for their eye safety needs. You will provide Legendary Customer Service to all customers by phone & email, providing quotes, order entry, and service requests. You understand the importance of supporting company sales objectives by using open-ended questions to uncover customer needs, identify solutions, and seek ways to add value while creating a remarkable experience for both internal/external customers.
Main Responsibilities
- Demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of the RX department
- Handle full cycle of a customer order, including receiving orders, entering orders, assigning ship-to location, sending to the lab for processing, assigning final tracking numbers, and shipping orders once completed, as well as processing returns and warranties when required
- Field phone calls from customers looking for prescription eyewear for their safety needs
- Package and ship prescription (Rx) jobs and supplies to customers, dispensers, and other Levitt-Safety branches
- Work with customers, dispensers, labs, and account managers to ensure an exceptional customer service experience, proudly promoting our company and services
- Enter orders into our various systems with a high degree of accuracy
- Screen and review orders for accuracy and compliance
- Prioritize daily production to ensure timely delivery to customers
- Handle all month-end billing and electronic-fund transfers (EFTs)
- Maintain accurate inventory levels within the prescription eyewear department
- Review/update current pricing to customers
- Prepare/guide other team members on quoting new customers
- Research our current costs to ensure we are still profitable
- Prepare a monthly summary of sales activities
- Other duties as assigned with a Think Team First approach

Ideal Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of customer service, order entry and/or administrative experience in a distribution or warehouse environment working with customers, orders, inventory, and shipping tools
- Computer savvy and comfortable with Outlook & MS Office; experience using Salesforce or other CRM is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy - you don't miss a detail!
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work independently and be resourceful in learning new tasks
- Thrives in a multi-tasking, fast-paced environment
