Job Summary:
Responsible for delivering loads to customers in a professional, courteous and timely fashion.
- Running Kingston switches from our yard in St. Remi
- Night Driving required 8pm to 8am
- Sunday to Thursday schedule
Job Duties:
- Ensure daily vehicle inspections are completed prior to starting your day
- Ensure proper safety guidelines are followed and proper equipment is available to complete daily tasks (i.e. safety footwear)
- Ensure assigned trailer has proper product, load bar and bills of lading for delivery
- Ensure the delivery of load to the customer is made in a safe and efficient manner
- Ensure that all product deliveries are complete. Report any shortages to dispatch as soon as possible before leaving the customer delivery site.
- All bills of lading should be signed off properly to assure products are received in a satisfactory manner. Report any product damages to dispatch as soon as possible before leaving the delivery site. If possible, look at the products before calling dispatch to verify product.
- Constant communication with dispatch.
- Follow all CTPAT, MTO and DOT regulations
- Other duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor
Education & Experience:
- Requires two years of Class 1 tractor-trailer driving experience. Driver safety training course is desirable. Ability to work well in a team atmosphere. Must have strong organization and communication skills with emphasis on attention to detail. Able to drive cross border.
