IO’s Finance, Technology, and Lending Enterprise Team ensures that IO is a financially efficient and effectively managed organization and that the agency’s finances are monitored, reported, and managed appropriately. 

Position Summary: 

Reporting to the VP, Technology, the Director, Infrastructure and Cloud is responsible for creating and executing an IT infrastructure strategy, managing and implementing both on-premise and cloud-based information systems to ensure their functionality, security, and alignment with business needs. It involves close collaboration with IT security, data and application teams. Additionally, this position ensures IT systems comply with legal and regulatory requirements related to security and risk management. 

What you will do: 

Oversee and Manage IT Infrastructure Systems:

  • Ensure effective access and security controls for stakeholders, including breach notifications, tracking, and implementing security solutions for applications, infrastructure, and data. 
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and IT operating practices. 
  • Oversee IT operations, including network, cloud, and vendor-managed services, and drive cloud adoption through application and platform identification. 
  • Manage lifecycle activities of IT hardware, optimize server performance, perform data backups, and document configurations to support infrastructure services. 
  • Lead infrastructure incident management, maintain the disaster recovery framework, and simulate disaster recovery scenarios to minimize downtime. 
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, enterprise architects and other teams to align with best practices, implement monitoring tools, and proactively resolve infrastructure issues.

Develop and maintain IT’s infrastructure strategy and architecture: 

  • Develop and implement infrastructure solutions aligned with IO's business objectives and cloud-first standards, ensuring compliance with IT architecture guidelines. 
  • Implement and support core Azure solutions, focusing on performance, security, networking, and governance, while continuously improving IT processes based on best practices. 
  • Establish a support service model to measure cloud services with service metrics and assist in developing a cloud architecture and governance framework.

Roadmap and Execution: 

  • Develop and execute IT infrastructure project plans, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery while adhering to IO architecture standards. 
  • Align infrastructure projects with business objectives and other initiatives to prevent conflicts and maximize opportunities. 
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure roadmap alignment and create prioritized technology and resource plans. 
  • Establish key operational delivery models and release plans to enhance systems and support new capabilities.  

Other duties and responsibilities:  

  • Manage infrastructure vendors, contractors and consultants as needed to drive accountability and to ensure timely, accurate and fiscally responsible deliverables. 
  • Build, and maintain dashboards to get the best analytical view of data for cost, demand, and capacity planning of infrastructure.

Who we are looking for: 

  • A strong visionary leader with significant experience developing and creating and executing an IT infrastructure strategy in a complex organization with multiple lines of business.  
  • Significant related work experience within design, development and modification of infrastructure, demonstrating knowledge of infrastructure management principles, practices, methods and techniques.  
  • Significant experience leading a team of direct reports.
  • Well-rounded technology & business leader with strong capabilities and understanding of strategic, operational, and financial levers that drive complex businesses with multiple stakeholders. 
  • Strong business acumen and experience leading large scale people, process and technology initiatives with a key focus on user experience and organization change management.

The hiring range for this position is $120,500-$180,800 with a corresponding job level of M3
