Project Delivery manages large, complex public infrastructure projects using a variety of contracting models, notably the public-private partnership (P3) approach to procurement and delivery. The P3 model leverages private sector financing and expertise in building public infrastructure with the objective of delivering projects on schedule and within approved budgets. The current project pipeline is valued at more than $35 billion in estimated design and construction costs.

 

Senior Vice President, Project Controls

The Senior Vice President of Project Controls is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and enhancing the organization's project control environment. This role ensures on-time and on-budget performance of major projects while enhancing operational efficiency, risk management, and compliance with project management best practices.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Provide Vision and Strategic Leadership: Lead the planning and delivery of Schedule Management, Cost Management, Risk Management services, and PMIS/Project Reporting. Ensure alignment with divisional and enterprise strategic objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Build, develop, and motivate a team of high-caliber professionals. Foster a reputation as a reliable business partner and ensure client needs and expectations are well understood and managed.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Establish strong governance, project management, and communication structures. Forge consultative and collaborative partnerships with industry partners and internal departments.
  • Data and Reporting Strategy: Oversee the development of a reporting and data strategy to meet divisional requirements and improve overall data quality. Ensure technology supports the reporting and data needs of the division.

 

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience: Extensive experience in project controls and project management principles.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with strong strategic and operational leadership capabilities.
  • Collaboration: Ability to build and manage cross-functional collaboration with internal and external key partners.
  • Technical Expertise: Knowledge of governance, risk management, compliance, and technology infrastructure.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with executive management and external partners.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Relevant professional learnings in Engineering, Business/Commerce, or related fields.
  • Designations such as P. Eng, PMP, or MBA are assets.
