Trades - Painter
Responsibilities will include, at a minimum:
• Applying protective and decorative paint, varnish, stain and other finishes to walls and ceilings in residential apartments/building interiors;
• Cleaning the buildings' surface, smoothing surfaces, patching, filling holes and removing nails, and scraping off old paint before applying new coats;
• Painting the building exterior using finishes that protect against erosion, dirt and weather.
• Ensuring equipment, paint mixing area and work area are cleaned after each use, and
• Perform basic handyman duties as required from time to time.Cleaning the building's surface, smoothing surfaces, patching, filling holes and removing nails, and scraping off old paint before applying new coats;
• Ensuring equipment, paint mixing area and work area are cleaned after each use, and
• Carry out property repairs as required, during occupancy and during the transition of unit residents (turnovers).
• Perform move-in and move-out inspections with residents, when required.
• Any other related duties.
Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years experience as a painter or handyperson.
• Knowledge of and ability to work with materials and surfaces such as metal, brick, wood, stone and plaster.
• Experience and knowledge of painting techniques, such as recoating, artificial weathering, painting scratches on different types of chandeliers, etc.
Must Haves
• Must have own vehicle with a clean driver’s abstract
• Must have own tools necessary to complete all tasks.
• Must be available to work flexible hours.
