The Opportunity 

 

Do you want to join a dynamic procurement team dedicated to delivering an exceptional experience for both internal and external stakeholders and suppliers? 

 

We are looking for our new Manager of Procurement who excels in strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and cost optimization.  

 

In this role, you will lead and own procurement activities, negotiate contracts, foster relationships and ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Implementing new processes and optimizing existing ones, deploying software, and developing and refining policies will be pillars of your role. As a Procurement Manager you will: 

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost savings while maintaining quality standards. 
  • Source, deploy, manage and support the software used for all procurement activities while actively scouting and analyzing new technologies for potential use. 
  • Effectively manage and meet tight deadlines and periods of peak activity. 
  • Lead and conduct negotiations with suppliers for best possible price, quality and service. 
  • Develop and implement improvement processes for procurement to optimize cost savings. 
  • Investigate and troubleshoot issues in active processes. 
  • Analyze organizational spend, maximize the value of vendor partnerships, mitigate potential risks, and control spend. 
  • Work collaboratively with all teams to understand their procurement requirements and plan accordingly. Train and assist as required.   
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and best practices to drive continuous improvement in procurement processes. 

 

About you: 

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma. 
  • Minimum 5 years progressive experience in procurement. 
  • Ability to negotiate contracts and manage relationships with vendors. 
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail; problem solving. 
  • Embraces technology and up to date with evolving business technology trends. 
  • Resourceful, positive and wants to have fun. 

 

Additional Information 

  • Team building experience an asset. 
  • Ability to travel occasionally within regions served for business or team building needs an asset. 
  • French language skills an asset. 
  • Knowledge of property management and/or construction an asset.
