BAS Technician, Controls Group

Job Description:
The HTS Controls Group is seeking an enthusiastic, hard-working BAS Technician who will work under the direction of the Project Manager. Responsible for designing user interfaces for our Controls projects.
Responsibilities:
- Validates complete system functionality and troubleshoots problems with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation.
- Completes the setup, detailed commissioning and system diagnostics of the BAS from management level to the sensor/actuator level.
- Troubleshoots low voltage electrical, communication wiring, hardware installation and configuration, DDC programming and general system performance issues.
- Keeps Project Manager informed of job progress and issues.
- Submits completed commissioning documentation.
- Adheres to HTS and jobsite safety standards and procedures.
- Performs site-specific training for owner/operator on the BAS system.
- Job would be performed both indoors and outdoors on construction sites in a variety of environmental conditions.
- Coordinates work with other jobsite trades.
Skills/Qualifications:
- 3 year Controls Systems degree or equivalent education.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience working in the field with HVAC and BAS systems.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Independent, self-learner and high desire for high quality products and systems.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s license in good standing.
