BAS Technician, Controls Group

Job Description:  

The HTS Controls Group is seeking an enthusiastic, hard-working BAS Technician who will work under the direction of the Project Manager. Responsible for designing user interfaces for our Controls projects. 

Responsibilities: 

• Validates complete system functionality and troubleshoots problems with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation. 
• Completes the setup, detailed commissioning and system diagnostics of the BAS from management level to the sensor/actuator level. 
• Troubleshoots low voltage electrical, communication wiring, hardware installation and configuration, DDC programming and general system performance issues. 
• Keeps Project Manager informed of job progress and issues. 
• Submits completed commissioning documentation. 
• Adheres to HTS and jobsite safety standards and procedures. 
• Performs site-specific training for owner/operator on the BAS system. 
• Job would be performed both indoors and outdoors on construction sites in a variety of environmental conditions.
• Coordinates work with other jobsite trades. 

Skills/Qualifications: 

• 3 year Controls Systems degree or equivalent education. 
• 3 to 5 years’ experience working in the field with HVAC and BAS systems. 
• Strong documentation and communication skills. 
• Independent, self-learner and high desire for high quality products and systems. 
• Must possess a valid Driver’s license in good standing.
