POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the HR Director, the Talent Development Partner supports the design, development, and implementation of corporate-wide talent development programs. The Talent Development Partner collaborates with key stakeholders across the organization to identify talent needs, create and manage the talent framework including programs, resources and tools to enhance employee performance and leadership effectiveness. The HR Department’s focus is to help the business achieve its objectives through people and involves consulting and providing advice and expertise to people leaders, supervisors and employees across the organization and at all levels. The accountabilities include but are not limited to recruitment, onboarding, total rewards, organizational development, talent management, coaching and support to people leaders to enhance engagement and the employee experience.  MAJOR ELEMENTS OF THE ROLE

 Key accountabilities of this position include:  

  • Identify, implement and deliver talent development initiatives to accelerate organizational and team performance to positively impact business results.  
  • Work closely with the HR and business partners to drive performance management, business and cultural transformation efforts and support HR initiatives ensuring consistent messaging and training across the organization  
  • Design and deploy learning and development solutions to support the talent development strategy  
  • Manage the instructional design / curriculum development process, including program measurement, by working closely with subject matter experts to understand business needs and align programming  
  • Develop ongoing reporting and feedback mechanisms to ensure talent development program optimization, effectiveness and ROI, based on assessment of KPI’s; implement changes as needed  
  • Collaborate with business and HR leaders on initiatives such as new hire onboarding and employee career frameworks by sharing expertise, mapping skills and learning opportunities and leading the identification and design of resources, tools and programs  
  • Support the organizational effectiveness and the talent strategy by creating a leadership development framework that drives effectiveness, and build skills and experience  
  • Identify and align individual leadership development plans according to business needs and facilitate delivery and completion of training.  
  • Provide coaching and feedback on leadership related topics working with leaders both in a 1:1s and facilitated workshops to identify leadership, coaching and management skills development opportunities 
  • Identify opportunities for program changes, enhancements and/or new programs based on program participation and analysis, knowledge of market trends and employees diverse needs to promote retention and ensure alignment with the Bank’s HR strategy and business priorities  
  • Project manages the implementation, communication and promotion of program changes and new employee program offers to enhance employee awareness and support employee engagement  
  • Leads the RFP process for the selection of external services providers in accordance with vendor management policies and processes; negotiates contracts and renewals to ensure cost effectiveness 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Qualifications  

  • Knowledge and application of talent development, change management concepts, tools and methods, and leadership and talent management principles and processes  
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing, implementing and reporting on talent development programs, including formal/informal and development at the individual, team and organizational level  
  • Excellent written verbal communications skills and presentation skills to effectively communicate, deliver talent development content to employees, leadership and the Executive  
  • Familiar with instructional design principles and have created, edited and administered training content and programs  
  • Strong project management experience implementing corporate-wide programs  
  • Proven facilitation skills to effectively manage different groups and personalities to achieve consensus  
  • Highly developed relationship skills to partner with business leaders and provide coaching/training to others and develop relationships based on trust and respect 
  • Substantial and progressive experience managing and administering talent development programs
