Senior Associate, Land Acquisition

The Senior Associate, Land Acquisition will be responsible for managing, developing, interpreting, and maintaining complex financial models to assist with decisions surrounding the acquisitions of residential development sites as well as other financial analysis regarding development decisions. 

This role is located at our Empire Canada Head Office in Vaughan, ON. 

 
What We Are Looking For: 

• Post-secondary education in Real Estate, Planning, Finance, Civil Engineering or related field of study

• 3+ years’ experience in residential development and/or finance

• Advanced knowledge and experience in real estate underwriting, valuation, and modelling

• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modelling

 
Bonus If You Have These Skills: 

• Experience working with consultants during the due diligence process to identify issues and challenges related to development sites to determine potential financial impacts
• Ability to conceptualize complicated deal structures
• Experience in business case and data analysis to support decision making

What You’ll Be Doing Each Day  

• Preparing investment packages, status reports, presenting findings, and other duties as required
• Acquisition analysis and providing recommendations based on complex financial modelling
• Proforma analysis to review and assess various development options
