Manager, Treasury
Your Impact at Empire
The Manager, Treasury is a key member of the Financial Planning team and is responsible for all Treasury aspects in Canada and our US divisions. This role brings in-depth and broad expertise in a variety of treasury operations and cash management, financial risk management and financial forecasting/reporting areas. The Manager, Treasury will oversee the day-to-day management of our cash management, including long term forecasting and planning and provide strategic support to senior leadership with regards to all aspects of treasury management.
This role is located at our Empire Canada Head Office in Vaughan, ON.
What We Are Looking For:
- At least 3 years of experience in a corporate treasury function
- CFA or CPA qualification required
- Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong cash management experience with solid knowledge of banking products, movement of funds, and daily cash positioning process
Bonus If You Have These Skills:
- Strong Excel skills and MS Office
- Ability to forecast financial metrics and covenants as well as excellent analytical and financial skills

What You’ll Be Doing Each Day
- Manage all aspects of divisional and intercompany financing arrangements, including movement of funds, debt schedules, evaluating funding requests, etc.
- Analyse and review divisional cash flow and financial projections, including overview of business operations to ensure risk is appropriately mitigated
- Management of external debt obligations, ensuring all principal loan repayments and interest payments are completed in a timely manner
- Participate in the development of Corporate Treasury Accounting policies and procedures and internal control requirements and ensure compliance
- Develop financial reports and provide insights and recommendations to senior management in making appropriate decisions regarding debts and foreign exchange plans
- Understand balance sheet implications from various types of acquisitions, capital structures, and external financings
