Job Purpose
This new position will play a pivotal role in growing Habitat for Humanity GTA’s Corporate Engagement Program, which encompasses Build and CDC (Central Distribution Centre) Days. This role will focus on securing new partnerships with corporations, finding the “win -win” for both organizations and resulting in multi-year commitments. The position will focus heavily on lead generation/sales and relationship management to generate sustainable support for Habitat’s mission of building affordable homes.
Job Duties:
Business Development & Sales Strategy
- Develop and execute a targeted B2B sales strategy to identify, prospect, and secure new corporate partners.
- Leverage a variety of approaches, including networking, cold calling, digital outreach, and social selling, to build a robust pipeline of qualified corporate leads.
- Conduct research to identify potential corporate prospects, tailoring approaches to align with their CSR goals and employee engagement needs.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Development team to ensure alignment with Habitat’s mission, values, and strategic objectives.
- Develop partnership proposals that clearly articulate value propositions, program benefits, and impact opportunities.
Program Promotion & Outreach
- Represent Habitat for Humanity GTA at networking events, trade shows, conferences, and corporate forums to promote Build Days and CDC Days.
- Partner with Marketing and Communications to develop tailored outreach campaigns, including email templates, brochures, and digital assets designed to resonate with corporate audiences.
- Utilize storytelling and case studies to effectively demonstrate the impact of corporate participation in Habitat programs.
- Engage in public speaking opportunities to advocate for Habitat’s mission and the benefits of corporate engagement programs.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as leads generated, conversion rates, and revenue secured, using a CRM platform to maintain detailed records.
- Generate and present regular reports to leadership on sales pipeline progress, partnership performance, and program outcomes.
- Use data insights to continuously refine sales strategies and improve program efficiency.
Collaboration for Transition & Handoff
- Work closely with the Corporate Development logistics team to ensure a smooth transition of new corporate partners for program execution.
- Provide pertinent details including expectations, agreed-upon deliverables, and key contacts, to the responsible parties for logistics and relationship maintenance.
- Act as an escalation point during the early stages of partnership handover, ensuring corporate partners feel supported and confident in their decision to engage.
Market Analysis & Strategic Planning
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and CSR priorities to identify opportunities for new partnerships.
- Provide input on strategic planning to refine Habitat’s Corporate Engagement Program offerings based feedback from corporate partners.
- Benchmark Habitat GTA’s engagement programs against similar initiatives to maintain a competitive edge.
Summary of Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or securing corporate partnerships, within or outside the nonprofit or CSR sectors.
- Demonstrated success in securing partnerships with mid- to large-sized corporations.
- Experience in planning and executing corporate engagement or sponsorship programs.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze and interpret marketing performance metrics.
