Based in Québec and reporting to the Technical Supervisor, the Building Operator is responsible for the maintenance and proper functioning of the buildings assigned to them:

• Ensure the maintenance and proper functioning of various systems (electricity, heating, plumbing, piping, HVAC, fire protection); 
• Analyze and adjust these systems as necessary; 
• Ensure compliance with building codes and standards; 
• Take the initiative to perform minor repairs, general maintenance, and other more or less complex tasks; 
• Respond to calls organized by the dispatcher, such as: discomfort due to temperature, water infiltration, ventilation noises, tripped circuit breakers, faulty outlets, etc; 
• Carry out preventive work during regular hours as determined by the team’s needs; 
• Be available during certain pre-established periods to respond to emergency calls; 
• Coordinate some tasks performed by workers; 
• Prioritize health and safety during interventions while following the procedures and methods in place within the building; 
• Maintain good relationships with various building stakeholders and proudly represent the image of MACH; 
• Perform all other related tasks.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a high school diploma.
• A vocational diploma in building maintenance is an asset.
• At least three (3) years of experience in a similar role.
