Based in Montréal and under the responsibility of the Technical Supervisor, the Building Operator performs the following tasks:

  • Ensure the maintenance and proper functioning of various systems (electricity, heating, plumbing, piping, HVAC, fire protection).
  • Analyze and adjust these systems as needed.
  • Ensure their compliance with building codes and standards.
  • Take the initiative to perform minor repairs, general maintenance, and other tasks of varying complexity.
  • Respond to calls organized by the dispatcher, such as: discomfort due to temperature, water infiltration, ventilation noises, tripped circuit breakers, faulty outlets, etc.
  • Perform preventive work during regular hours as determined by the team’s needs.
  • Be available during certain pre-established periods to respond to emergency calls.
  • Coordinate some tasks performed by workers.
  • Prioritize health and safety during interventions while following the procedures and methods in place within the building.
  • Maintain good relationships with various building stakeholders and proudly represent the image of MACH.
  • Perform all other related tasks.

Qualifications: 

  • Hold at least a high school diploma.
  • A vocational diploma in building maintenance is an asset.
  • Possess three (3) years of experience in a similar role.
  • A versatile, open-minded, resourceful, and autonomous individual who enjoys working in a team.
  • Customer service excellence orientation.
