Great Gulf is seeking a talented and experienced Site Retail Operator to join our team in Brampton/Mississauga

Summary

 

As a site retail operator , you will be responsible for providing maintenance and operations services for our commercial retail/industrial portfolio, ensuring all First Gulf standards and quality are upheld. Reporting to the Sr Operations Manger, you will ensure that assigned properties are maintained safety and to the highest level of operational efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing preventive maintenance and repairs of exterior structural of the building, main sprinkler/electrical, plumbing, lighting, parking and roofing systems.
  • Monitor work of contractors/external service provider to ensure adherence to service contracts agreements and scope of work is done accordingly.

  • Participate performing mandatory Fire safety Maintenance duties, keeping records of testing
  • Attending daytime and after-hours emergencies with urgency and care.
  • Performing general maintenance and housekeeping such as sweeping, litter pick up, shoveling and pressure washing.
  • Participating in corporate occupational health and safety programs.
  • Ensure tenant disposing their waste, recycling and disposal of used cooking oil property and reporting to Sr Operation Manager for any issues.
  • Responding to assigned tenant service requests with care within the established procedures and time frames.
  • Assisting with emergency preparedness, responses, and action plans, as required.
  • Assist other building operators with 2 person job requirements.
  • Remaining current and up to date with new industry practices, legislative changes and new technologies.
  • Embracing and proactively supporting the company’s culture of environmental and social responsibility.
  • Vacation coverage for other team members.
  • Be part of the rotating on-call, after-hour emergency contact.  Estimate about 3 weeks rotation.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

COMMUNICATION/INFLUENCING OTHERS

  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally , both oral and written

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • General knowledge of handyman repairs.  Certification in Building Operation System is an asset but not required
  • Must own vehicle and hold valid driver license.
  • Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office
  • Flexibility to meet tight deadlines, requiring additional hours as necessary

 

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT

  • Ability to work independently and in team
  • Ability to work from ladders and platforms
  • Able to work in outdoor environment with varying temperatures

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Able to lift 40 lbs.
