Great Gulf is seeking a talented and experienced Internal Communications Manager to join our team in Toronto.

 

The purpose of this role is to develop and execute impactful internal communication strategies that enhance organizational culture, drive employee engagement, and ensure alignment with Great Gulf’s objectives. This includes creating clear and concise messaging across multiple channels for employees, shareholders, and strategic advisors. Responsibilities also involve managing employer branding, collaborating with stakeholders for insights, analyzing communication effectiveness, and continuously refining the program to promote a transparent and integrated organizational culture keeping everyone well-informed and aligned.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement internal communication strategies that align with organizational goals and values.
  • Create content for digital channels, including The Great Room (intranet), emails, content screens, and newsletters.
  • Collaborate with IT to ensure effective backend support and maintenance of digital channels.
  • Craft core messages and prepare scorecards for leadership to share with shareholders and strategic advisors.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to gather insights and feedback, ensuring this is integrated into communication strategies and content development.
  • Develop and implement content programs to foster employee engagement and connection to Great Gulf’s mission and values.
  • Ensure consistent tone of voice aligned with guidelines and content pillars.
  • Collaborate with HR and leadership to highlight employee achievements and support HR communications.
  • Create employer brand content including coordinating photography that can be leveraged on external channels.
  • Oversee digital asset management system to ensure efficient organization and accessibility of materials.
  • Analyze data to refine strategies and provide recommendations based on insights.
  • Develop monthly scorecards to measure the effectiveness of communication efforts and share with leadership.
  • Monitor and analyze communication effectiveness through surveys and engagement metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Create internal announcements on organizational changes, achievements, and events to enhance alignment, buy in, and support.
  • Support town hall initiatives to ensure effective communication of key messages.
  • Prepare and implement crisis communication plans to ensure timely information sharing during emergencies.
  • Assist with internal events to foster engagement and promote organizational culture.
  • Develop and oversee change management processes, including workback schedules and communication methods, ensuring clear messaging and employee alignment during transitions.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster trust and collaboration across all levels of the organization.
