Job Title:                    Golf Shop Attendant

Department:              Golf Operations

Responsible to:           Steve Halse

The Golf Shop Assistant ensures the enjoyment of our customers while maintaining our policies and procedures. This is a front-line position requiring a courteous and pleasant first impression. The Golf Shop Assistant will go above and beyond their daily responsibilities to provide all members and invited guests a first-class experience. This position will overlap with other departments within Granite Golf Club emphasizing teamwork by all.

• Keep pro shop in a neat and tidy manner at all times
• Maintain displays and assist in rotating merchandise in pro shop on a regular basis
• Monitor inventory levels of office supplies, scorecards, yardage books, pencils, tees, bag tags, cart plates etc.
• Assist with regular spot checks and ensure all merchandise is tagged with appropriate code and quantity is correct
• Be aware of all golf course events, (“The Facts Person”) have all answers for members
• Spread Hospitality and goodwill amongst all members and their guests
• Be a positive role model and team leader for all employees
• Perform all duties in accordance with the daily procedures
• Assist members/guests with any questions or concerns they may have
• Answer phone in an energetic and courteous manner
• Take tee-time reservations, event bookings and inquiries in an enthusiastic and friendly manner
• When you don’t know the answer say you don’t know and ask a golf professional
• To be aware, at all times, of the golf course with respect to: Starting times, playing times or any problem situations
• Contribute to the coordination of all member events and functions
• Record daily sales on the computer and ensure end of day chits matches end of day report
• Maintain Demo book
• Monitor outside support team (golf operations staff)
• Complete all relevant round information daily
• Fill out daily sales summary
