Job Overview
Under the general supervision of the Machine Operator, Area Leader, Production Supervisor and/or Plant Manager; the General Production Worker will be responsible to follow directions for various plant tasks to ensure good quality products are efficiently manufactured at all times.
This role is permanent full-time with a standard 37.5 hour work week and eligibility for overtime.
Payrate Range - 16.50 to 16.50 an hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for performing various general plant tasks; packaging, feeding product to the line and/or packaging, making boxes, applying tamper seals, closing lids, etc. that help to ensure good quality product is produced at all times
- Responsible for performing any task that will be associated with the assembly or packaging of the product
- Responsible to perform the job responsibilities of a back-up Machine Operator for coverage purpose from time to time
- Responsible for practicing and adhering to Food Safety, GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Health and Safety policy at all times
- Responsible for practicing and adhering to Give & Go’s policies and best practices
- Responsible for following Give & Go core values; Respect, Direct Communication & Quality
- Responsible for other reasonable duties as assigned by the Area Leader/Supervisor and/or Plant Manager
The Recipe for Success:
- Completion of high school education or equivalent
- 1-3 years of manufacturing experience; asset to have worked in food and dairy manufacturing industry
- Good hand and manual dexterity
- Ability to stand for long periods of times
- Flexibility to work rotating and/or weekend shift
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
