About the Position:
The Manager of Investment Finance is an integral role within the Investment Finance and Asset Management Teams, and reports into the Vice President of Investment Finance and Asset Management. This role is responsible for delivery of timely and accurate internal and external financial and operational reporting for capital raise initiatives and portfolio value optimization strategies for the Equiton Group of companies.
This position will collaborate with various teams including Acquisitions, Development, Property Management & Operations, Asset Management, Legal, Institutional Fund Raise, Marketing and Accounting to deliver strategic analysis while applying best practices in all Equiton financial reporting.
Key Functions and Responsibilities:
- Establish, monitor and manage internal portfolio level financial and operational performance and key performance indicators reporting
- Review financial and performance metrics prepared for quarterly reporting purposes for accuracy and ensuring reporting timelines are met
- Assist with customized financial and operational metrics required for Investor fund-raising initiatives and reporting
- Participate in preparation of fund-raising presentations and other materials
- Develop tools for data warehousing, property level benchmark tracking and provide access to real time market research for business intelligence
- Analyze financial market and other benchmark data for decision-making support
- Provide analytical and market data support to Asset Management and Operations teams
- Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools
- Work with marketing group on external industry focused publications
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and rules, as well as government requirements
- Ad hoc requests from CFO, Finance and Institutional Investments Team
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Proven strategic analysis and ability to run complex models
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ambition and the desire to learn and continue to grow
- Flexibility, and the ability to manage changing priorities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field of study
- CFA or in process
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience
- Understand of IFRS, GAAP and auditing standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
- Experienced in the real estate industry and working within an institutional investment environment
- Strong experience in both financial reporting and financial modelling is required
