Position Title:​ ​Dental/Health Adjudicator
​Reports To: Manager, Group Health Claims

Term:
Temporary Full-Time, Contract until December 31, 2025



Work Arrangements:
This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.


The Opportunity: ​​ We are looking for a Dental/Health Adjudicator to join our growing team at Equitable. The Health Claims Adjudicator is responsible for processing health claims. ​What you will be doing:​ 

  • ​​Process claims and estimates accurately in a timely manner within established service standards.
  • Identify and resolve claim situations in a timely manner, through consultations with a Senior, Manager, or other departments within Group.
  • Work with the Investigative Claims Unit team to identify suspicious claims and alert the department of the findings.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of business processes.
  • Additional basic tasks within Health as team requires. 

 

 
​What you will bring:​ 

  • ​​Candidates with previous dental/health claims adjudication experience required.
  • Outstanding client service skills.
  • An ability to handle high stress situations in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate high attention to detail.
  • An ability to interpret and apply a subset of contract provisions and administrative guidelines, comfortable working through ambiguous situations.
  • Must be comfortable working in an environment with quickly changing priorities.
  • An ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Strong organization, multi-tasking, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.​
