Position Title: Corporate Banking Specialist
Reports To: Director, Corporate Finance
Department: Corporate Finance
Term: Permanent Full-Time
Work Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.
The Opportunity: The Corporate Finance team is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual that is eager to learn more about corporate banking and administration.
The Corporate Banking Specialist position will give exposure to various functions and processes across the organization, including gaining knowledge of several key accounting and banking processes in a large financial institution.

What you will be doing:
- Key banking contact for all areas of the Company, requires assisting business areas in resolving banking and banking-related accounting issues
- Ensure continuous flow of daily cash management processes; contact for external banking relationships and internal departments (Information Technology) in resolving any bank transfer issues
- Complete account reconciliations on a daily and/or monthly basis
- Oversee and maintain the administration of four corporate banking interfaces with our banking partners and the corporate credit card program used by employees
- Maintain banking security ensuring appropriate user access
- Assist in developing and implementing process improvements
- Work closely with all members of the Corporate Finance team, the administration areas across the organization, and the various banks used by the Company
What you will bring:
- Post-secondary education with emphasis on accounting and/or business administration
- Previous exposure to corporate banking and electronic banking services
- Familiarity with general accounting concepts
- Strong problem solving, communication and organizational skills to manage inquiries and investigations
- Experience at a financial institution in a banking or treasury role (experience at a life insurance carrier is an asset)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Intermediate to expert level skills with MS Office, particularly Excel
