Position Title: Virtual Life Sales Vice President
Reports To: Head of Distribution 
Department:
Individual Insurance
Term: Permanent Full-Time


Work Arrangements: You will work from your home office 100% of the time. You may be required to be in-person at our office in Waterloo, ON or another assigned location within the Waterloo Region, on an as needed basis. Sales related roles may be required to travel based on the assignment.



The Opportunity: 
Equitable is growing! We are looking for a Virtual Life Sales Vice President to join our Individual Insurance!  

 

This role is a key member of the Individual Insurance sales and distribution leadership team, the Virtual Life Sales Vice President will focus on creating new sales opportunities and directly growing market share by leading a growing team of virtual wholesalers across Canada in the MGA and National Account space. This incumbent will be challenged to develop, recruit and retain a best-in-class wholesaling organization in Canada. 

 

This role is highly visible and influential within Equitable, and externally with distribution partners, external wholesalers and industry associations.

What you will be doing:

  • Delivering sales results
  • Develop effective virtual sales team wholesaling strategies
  • Recruit, onboard and retain best in class talent
  • Maximize wholesaler effectiveness through dynamic and flexible development plans.
  • Assist in developing National sales programs and incentives.
  • Ensure the virtual sales team is considered “best in class” through survey feedback and internal metrics

 

 

What you will bring:

  • Minimum 7 years of individual sales experience
  • Demonstrated leadership and proven performance management experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of individual life insurance including high-end markets
  • Proven ability to motivate and lead a remote team of high performers.
  • Exceptional organizational & time management skills
  • Proven public speaking abilities
  • Negotiation skills to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Exceptional industry reputation across all distribution partners and channels.
  • Industry designations such as CFP, CLU, CHS, CH.FC
  • Outstanding decision-making skills, strategic thinking, and planning abilities.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
