Reports To: Manager, Group Renewal, Corporate Accounts, myFlex Underwriting and Group Underwriting Assistants

Work Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.
The Opportunity: Equitable is looking to hire a Group Underwriting Assistant to join our team! What you will be doing:
- File set up to support Quotes and Renewals
- Audit and correction of employee data and entry of plan design to support Quote and Renewal rate calculation
- Calculation of manual rates for alternate costings on both Quotes and Renewals
- Time tracking and updating of case logs to ensure appropriate measurement reporting
- Filing and retrieval of Quote and Renewal files according to our department protocol
- Distribution of specially requested and automated system generated reports;
- Distribution of department mail
- Initial review of Rate Confirmations to ensure that they comply with our published Discount policy
- Entry of Rate Confirmation details into Quote Manager and Group Manager for discount tracking and customer billing purposes
- Initial set up of the Renewal Report including manual entry of premiums, claims, rates and corresponding age/sex, industry and occupation factors for previous to current year comparison purposes

- Excellent computer skills, including MS Word and Excel

- Bilingualism in written and spoken French is an asset
