The Warehouse Operations Manager (Distribution / Sales) will reportdirectly to the director of operations, and is responsible for management of cost-effective branch operations including warehouse & distribution; facilities and customer service. The Warehouse Operations Manager (Distribution / Sales) is a strong supporter of the sales team.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Overseeing effective and cost-efficient branch operations, warehouse, deliveries, and customer service.
- Providing exceptional customer service to all East Penn Canada customers
- Develops and maintains a strong relationship with the sales team
- Effective management of the branch team by providing effective communication, training, coaching, and motivation
- Ensure a safe and efficient branch environment at all times
- Ensuring ongoing effective liaison with Head office by tracking and providing appropriate reporting
Experience, Skills & Competencies
- Post-Secondary education
- Five plus years’ experience managing multiple teams (warehouse and customer service) and supporting sales teams
- Solid knowledge of logistics
- Customer focused; coaches others for exceptional customer service orientation.
- Experience with SAP an asset
- Proven ability to manage, lead, and provide an environment within which employees are self-motivated to meet performance standards.
- Ability to identify, trouble shoot, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of automotive battery applications and specifications definite asset.
- Is able to identify and implement improvements.
