The Warehouse Operations Manager (Distribution / Sales) will reportdirectly to the director of operations, and is responsible for management of cost-effective branch operations including warehouse & distribution; facilities and customer service. The Warehouse Operations Manager (Distribution / Sales) is a strong supporter of the sales team.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Overseeing effective and cost-efficient branch operations, warehouse, deliveries, and customer service.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to all East Penn Canada customers
  • Develops and maintains a strong relationship with the sales team
  • Effective management of the branch team by providing effective communication, training, coaching, and motivation
  • Ensure a safe and efficient branch environment at all times
  • Ensuring ongoing effective liaison with Head office by tracking and providing appropriate reporting

Experience, Skills & Competencies

  • Post-Secondary education
  • Five plus years’ experience managing multiple teams (warehouse and customer service) and supporting sales teams
  • Solid knowledge of logistics
  • Customer focused; coaches others for exceptional customer service orientation.
  • Experience with SAP an asset
  • Proven ability to manage, lead, and provide an environment within which employees are self-motivated to meet performance standards.
  • Ability to identify, trouble shoot, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge of automotive battery applications and specifications definite asset.
  • Is able to identify and implement improvements.
