The Graphic Designer will collaborate closely with the Creative Services team and internal clients in the development of solutions for web, print and physical environment design projects.  The Graphic Designer is responsible for implementation of design solutions that align with company goals and objectives. The incumbent will play a supportive role on assigned projects.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Deliver quality resources (e.g., print, digital/web, presentations, labels) in a timely & accurate manner
  • Ensure visual communication is clear, concise & on strategy
  • Understand & contribute to East Penn Canada positive brand image and products
  • Assist in defining production requirements
  • Work with team members to support & deliver effective programs to internal & external customers
  • Keep up with trends in design, colour, typography; and learn new software
  • Prioritization of projects, while facilitating information flow within the creative services team
  • Work with suppliers to produce high quality final products
  • Use expertise to provide feedback on best practices

Experience, Skills & Competencies

  • Post-secondary education in Graphic Design or related discipline.
  • 1 year direct experience in creative development & execution – working in both digital & print design, in B2B and B2C environments
  • Experience in automotive after-market or industrial/manufacturing is an asset
  • Strong skillset with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Muse) & basic understanding of HTML/CSS
  • Photography / videography experience is an asset
  • Experience with: Content Management Systems, Blogs, Wikis, Social Marketing Tools, RSS feeds is an asset
  • Experience with MS Office Suites (PowerPoint, Excel, MS Word)
  • Knowledge of motion graphics, 3D design/modelling & associated programs is considered an asset
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is considered an asset
