This position is:
Working in the designated office five (5) days per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm.

The Human Resources Generalist works with leaders from the business to define needs.
The Human Resources Generalist reports directly to the Director, People & Culture. This role works collaboratively with the People & Culture team and the business to help provide support with administration of employee relations and performance management and provide the highest level of HR services to Leaders and Eastlink team members.
Accountabilities:
- Support a variety of People & Culture strategies by collaborating and consulting with team members and leaders on organizational and administrative duties regarding attendance management, performance management, progressive discipline, investigations, disability case management and wellness initiatives.
- Advises employees and leaders by providing advice guidance and/or coaching on sensitive confidential and complex HR issues to ensure compliance with Eastlink policies, Employment Standards and other regulatory employment and human rights requirements.
- Help facilitate and organize initiatives such as co-chair the Employment Equity Committee and assist with reporting activities associated with government compliance.
- Assist with Benefits, Pension & Leave management processes.
- Responsible to help maintain confidential and accurate team member files and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) data.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of policies and procedures.
- Collaborates with People & Culture team members on various projects and initiatives as required.
Education & Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant and progress experience in Human Resources with a strong understanding of all HR functions.
- Undergraduate degree in Business or Commerce with a major in HR Management or HR diploma.
- A Certified Professional Human Resources (CPHR) designation or equivalent is an asset.
- Experience in a unionized environment would be an asset.
- Expert time management skills.
- High attention to detail is required for accurate and timely work.
