Your Impact as a Financial & Insurance Coordinator
In this role, your key responsibilities include:
- Financial Coordination – Reconciliation of bulk payments to Practice Management System, monitoring weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to confirm payment from clients and insurance companies, preparing financial agreements and entering contracts in Practice Management System, explaining financial agreement and insurance benefits to patients, ensure all patients are placed in the appropriate active status for accurate tracking, post all charges and payments, Complete day/month end reporting and reconciliation, responsible for petty cash.
- Insurance Verifications - Verifying the patient’s health insurance benefits prior to patient arriving for exam, entering insurance data in Practice Management System, processing insurance payments and refunds, submitting documentation to insurance companies and/or Clearing House.
- Accounts Receivable/Collections - Following up on non-paid insurance claims, managing late payments and overdue accounts, manage and follow up with all AR accounts by following up with delinquent accounts, renegotiate financial agreements as needed to maximize collections.
- Administrative Support – Assisting with answering phone calls, scheduling appointments and responding to emails and voicemails, as needed.

Qualifications
- Dental or orthodontic financial experience preferred but not required.
- Experience working in an orthodontic or general dental clinic is an asset.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite; proficiency with orthodontic management software systems is an asset.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills (verbal and written), with a proven ability to build strong relationships and rapport with patients, parents, doctors, fellow team members and the community.
- Keen attention-to-detail and time management skills.
Compensation
- Competitive hourly rate: $24.00-$27.00/hr.
