We’re on the hunt for an exceptional storyteller who knows how to captivate an audience and be the ultimate companion for the drive home. This role is more than just being on the air, it’s about creating engaging content that extends beyond the mic. You’ll be actively involved in curating and contributing to our social media platforms, ensuring our brand stays top of mind with our audience. At DAVE Rocks, we’re more than a station, we’re a community. You will contribute by:
- Host and deliver a tight, focused Afternoon Show that resonates with our audience.
- Voice commercials, promos, and additional content as required.
- Create and curate original audio and video content that connects with listeners and drives digital engagement.
- Actively participate in station events, promotions, and community outreach.
- Voice track other shows as needed.
- Manage daily music scheduling, compliance reports, and music library maintenance.
- Work both independently and collaboratively to elevate the show and brand.
- Support Sales and Promotions initiatives.
Skills and experience you will bring:
- A deep understanding of Rock culture and how to translate it into engaging content.
- Post-secondary diploma/degree in Journalism, Broadcasting, or Radio/TV Arts (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of on-air experience preferred.
- Strong on-air, written, and social media engagement skills.
- Ability to run a tight, well-produced show using industry-standard tools.
- Proven ability to create compelling social media and digital content.
- Basic audio/video recording and editing skills.
- A passion for music and a willingness to embrace and elevate the format.
- Valid G-Class driver’s license with a clean driving record.
