The Town of Cochrane is looking for an HR Business Partner to join our team!

What You’ll Do

  • Build trusted relationships with employees and leaders, serving as a valued advisor and problem solver.

  • Navigate complex employee relations issues with a balance of empathy and pragmatism.

  • Guide managers through performance management, progressive discipline, and workplace conflict resolution.

  • Support labour relations by interpreting collective agreements and managing grievances.

  • Conduct workplace investigations and culture assessments to ensure a fair and inclusive work environment.

  • Lead job evaluation and compensation discussions to maintain internal equity and market competitiveness.

  • Provide insights on HR policies, employment legislation, and best practices to drive organizational success.

What You Bring

  • Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.

  • 3-5 years of HR experience in a unionized environment (public sector experience preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of Alberta Employment Standards, Human Rights, and Labour Relations legislation.

  • CPHR designation.

  • Experience with workplace investigations, HRIS, and talent management software is an asset.

This position works a 35 hour work week and pays between $52.98 and $56.60 per hour.
