Located on the brink of one of the world’s greatest natural wonders, the Marriott on the Falls is a 404 guestroom full service hotel, minutes away from area attractions, world class wineries, golf and casinos. The Marriott on the Falls also offers sumptuous dining options at its on-site Milestones Fallsview Restaurant along with 23 private function rooms and boardrooms totally over 40,000 square feet of meeting space including 8400 sq. ft. Oakes Grand Ballroom with an additional 2700 sq. ft. foyer. Summary of Responsibilities:
At Marriott on the Falls, our Concierge Lounge operations thrive with the commitment of Associates who demonstrate/support the Marriott core values and culture of putting people first, acting with integrity, serving our world, embracing change, and pursuing excellence. We are currently seeking an outgoing individual who can execute exemplary customer service in our Concierge Lounge to serve our elite and platinum guests. Our Concierge Ambassador serves as the guest's liaison for both hotel and non-hotel services, and is a key role in ensuring guests receive the highest level of customer service.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Welcoming and acknowledging all guests in a professional and courteous manner, and building a strong rapport with each guest
- Anticipating and addressing all guests’ service needs
- Ensure repeat and VIP guests are receiving appropriate service and ensures their requests are carried out
- Setting up and overseeing food and beverage offerings in the Lounge, which include breakfast, light snacks, hors d’oeuvres and beverages; recommending, selling and serving alcoholic beverages as appropriate
- Clean and maintain equipment and work area of the Lounge
- Provide recommendations to local attractions, local events, and sightseeing to enhance the guest experience
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
- Monitoring Lounge area for appropriate stock/inventory levels and seating availability
- Reporting all accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and completing all required safety training and certifications
- Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures and standards while striving towards total guest satisfaction.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Hotel experience preferred.
- Food and Beverage experience preferred.
- Post-secondary education in Hospitality from a recognized institution preferred.
- Must be passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with guests
- Maintain a professional presentation- i.e. ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional at all times.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain professional composure at all times, regardless of issue, while performing multiple tasks with multiple guests, items and/or products
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must (multilingual a plus)
- Flexible with scheduling and able to work a variety of shifts – mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends
- Skilled in the use of computers and software programs such as Windows, Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office
- Smart Serve Certification is required.
