Payroll Administrator Responsibilities:
- Participate in full cycle biweekly payroll processing for salary and hourly employees.
- Respond to all payroll inquiries promptly and accurately.
- Run various reports to assist managers, utilizing advanced Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF) for data analysis and reporting.
- Issue ROEs (Records of Employment) and respond to Service Canada requests.
- Assist in completing year-end reporting requirements and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Assist with other payroll-related duties, as assigned.
What you’ll need as a Payroll Administrator:
Experience:
- 1+ years of experience in Payroll/Finance role.
- Advanced Excel knowledge: Proficiency in using advanced Excel functions, including creating and managing pivot tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, SUMIF, and other payroll-related formulas for accurate reporting and data analysis.
- Previous experience using Ceridian Dayforce is highly recommended.
- Ability to handle large volumes of payroll data, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Must be able to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Able to work independently and be self-motivated
