Sales Reprensentative

We are looking for a Sales Representative covering the Mid South US territory. The chosen candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling Berger products to professional growers for both the ornamental horticulture and agricultural markets.

JOB SUMMARY: 

  • Develop an opportunistic territory and position Berger products using your accomplished selling skills;
  • Manage and exceed customer’s needs and expectations via a proven process to deliver results.
  • Act as a trusted advisor with key targeted accounts and cultivate existing customer relationships;
  • Be an engaged ambassador for Berger in industry associations and networks;
  • Participate in local, regional and or national industry events;
  • Collaborate with the various internal Berger teams (Customer Service, Technical Services & Advisors, Logistics etc.) in order to deliver the best possible customer experience;
  • Have a proactive presence in the industry by gathering and sharing market trends, needs and feedback;

 

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Degree in horticulture, agriculture, or relevant industry training and experience;
  • Measurable past successes and established professional solution selling approach;
  • Selling experience in ornamental, CEA and or traditional agricultural markets required;
  • Excel in building and nurturing professional relationships;
  • Autonomous but willing to work with in a team environment while motivated to succeed;
  • Available to travel on a regular basis. Must have a valid driver’s license and passport;
  • Technically savvy and comfortable using a CRM technology and other selling tools.

WORKING CONDITIONS :

  • Permanent position;
  • 40-50 hours per week;
  • Travel 40-60%;
