Position Overview

We are looking for an Investment Specialist that will play a pivotal role in creating, building and maintaining profitable relationships with the investment advisors of external institutions. Provide personalized advice to promote Basecamp Resorts real estate opportunities as investments.

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000

Additions: a discretionary bonus, travel allowance, health benefits and cell phone allowance.

Locations: Canmore or Calgary

Key Responsibilities

• 1. 1. STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT & EXECUTION

Create and implement investment strategies to increase revenue and expand market share.

• Create and implement investment strategies to increase revenue and expand market share.
• Identify new opportunities with companies that complement our products.
• Form strategic partnerships and alliances with company investment advisors.
• Create and manage current retail investor advertising materials and strategies for attracting new investors.
• Embrace digital tools and platforms to enhance engagement and sales processes.
• Use a structured approach to identify, prioritize, and solve issues within the organization.
• Identify risk tolerance within our investment opportunities.
• Manage a CRM to track new investors through advertising, contact, and relationship management.

• 1. 2. ADMINSITRATIVE & COMPLIANCE SUPPORT

       Maintain accurate records and complete compliance

• Ensure that all investment advice complies with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions.

• 1. 3. COLLABORATION & REPORTING

        Promote high levels of communication and maintain up to date knowledge 

• Provide insights to senior management regarding market perceptions and potential impacts on the company's offerings.

Requirements

• Proven track record of successfully closing business deals on retail and institutional investors.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• Familiarity with multi division companies. 
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word.
• Experience with CRM software (e.g., Investnext)
• Great problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Experience with securities regulations
• Experience in real estate and retail investing
• Experience with offering memorandums
• Dynamic, growth-oriented, and capable of working under pressure.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent organizational, strategic, planning and implementing skills.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Have a clean and valid class 5 license and be able to travel frequently.
• Ability to work independently and in difficult situations.
