As a part of our Quality Control team, you will use your heavy haul transport experience to make sure that our trailers are ready to work. You will speak up on behalf of our customers, and work on a team that builds products you can be proud of.
- Operate a Class 8 truck to pull a variety of specialized trailers
- Perform full functional testing of all trailer systems and components
- Speak up on behalf of our customers, by identifying potential defects and opportunities for improvement
- Identify any product issues and notify the appropriate team leader if corrective actions are needed
- Coordinate work and equipment to support Manufacturing and customer delivery timelines
- Utilize Aspen’s mobile-app based inspection checklist to document findings
- Photograph and upload as-built trailer photos
- Transport loads on-site, and between sites in the near vicinity of Leduc/Nisku
- Assist with loading components onto trailers for transport
- Make sure that all transport equipment (Class 8 truck, flatbeds, etc.) is maintained and operated properly
- Class 1 Driver’s License is required with a safe driving record
- Knowledge of Aspen products (either operating, servicing, building, selling, etc.) is an asset
- Knowledge of heavy equipment parts considered an asset
- Able to work autonomously and uses good decision-making practices
- Problem solving ability in a customer focused environment
- Strong detail orientation and ability to keep data integrity
- Building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions
- Organizational and planning skills, experience managing equally important and competing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate computer literacy with Excel, ERP, Email & Calendar Management, and Document Production
- Able to maintain a professional and calm demeanor in challenging situations
- Able to identify procedure and process improvements and advise the appropriate stakeholders
- Completion of secondary school
- Minimum of two years’ working with heavy haul trailers
- Experience with the system we use (Visual Manufacturing from Infor) would be a bonus
- Experience working with steel fabrication is an asset
- Experience working with pneumatic and hydraulic mechanical systems is an asset
- Located in the Leduc shop and operating both indoors and outdoors
- Regular fast pace or work with tight deadlines
- A medium to high stress environment due to timelines
- Physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs - fitness test required
- Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform physical labor.
- Be able to bend, crouch and kneel for extended periods.
- Ability to wear personal protective gear most of the day.
- Hazards associated with the industry. Be able to bend, crouch and kneel for extended periods
- Days Wednesday – Saturday 7:00am – 5:30pm
