About the role 

 

Hybrid | Full-time | Mid Level

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Orders supplies for designated ALS global locations;
  • Obtains price quotes and sourcing of goods;
  • Expedites supplies and ensuring proper delivery;
  • Responsible for order confirmation and follow up communication;
  • Evaluates vendor quote and service to determine most desirable suppliers;
  • Assists in administration of national vendor contracts;
  • Maintains positive supplier relationships;
  • Responsible for purchasing database organization, update, and maintenance;

 

About you:

  • Organized, detail orientated, highly motivated, and able to work independently;
  • Demonstrated judgement, creativity, integrity and ability to problem solve;
  • Well-developed negotiating and dispute resolution skills;
  • Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple projects;
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency with databases, Internet searching, and Microsoft Office suites (Outlook, Word, Excel);
  • Experience using ERP or MRP software including NAV and Oracle;
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal);
  • Able to work in a fast pace and diverse environment;
  • Good customer service skills;
  • Second language – Spanish or French an asset.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of post-secondary education in supply chain, procurement, or a relevant field, or equivalent experience;
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supply chain or procurement role;

 

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit at a desk and do general office work, which includes periodic sedentary responsibilities;
  • Ability to use and view a computer screen for up to 8 hours per day;
  • Ability to communicate via telephone and e-mail without assistance.

Our benefits includes:

  • Hourly Range - An estimated hourly pay ranging from $27.38-31.21 at the time of posting. Individual compensation is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training.
