Senior Financial Analyst
Reporting to: Corporate Controller
Location: Calgary, Alberta
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week

Have your career take off with us! AirSprint Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Senior Financial Analyst to join our growing team. Working directly with the Corporate Controller and VP Finance, this role is ideal for a qualified CPA with a strong background in data analytics and accounting system implementation.
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in managing day-to-day accounting operations, enhancing accounting processes, and supporting system upgrades and implementations. You will also be heavily involved in the development and application of data analytics, business intelligence, and AI-driven solutions to drive innovation and efficiency within the department and organization. The ideal candidate will bring technical acumen, operational accounting expertise, and a deep understanding of financial processes.
In this role you will:
- Oversee and manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
- Drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy in accounting workflows.
- Support the implementation and enhancement of a new accounting system, ensuring seamless integration and optimization.
- Develop and leverage data analytics to monitor financial performance and support decision-making (operational metrics and KPIs).
- Collaborate with teams across the organization to understand their workflows and identify opportunities for automation and process optimization (leveraging AI, Business Intelligence and Predictive analytics practices).
- Ensure timely and accurate financial transactions, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions that streamline accounting processes, reduce manual tasks, and maintain compliance with company policies.
- Analyze and monitor key operational metrics, providing insights for process improvement.
- Support audit processes and ensure adherence to internal controls.
- Mentor junior accountants and contribute to the development of the finance team.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A CPA designation.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting or financial operations and analysis, with exposure to process improvement, data analysis and systems implementation.
- Strong proficiency in accounting processes, reconciliations, and operational workflows.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with Cloud ERP systems (e.g., Dynamics 365, Acumatica, Sage Intacct, NetSuite).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
- Basic understanding of modern data warehouse concepts.
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with project management as it relates to an accounting system implementation and data migration.
- Experience with business intelligence (BI) tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Quicksight).
- Familiarity with SQL, data query languages, and Microsoft Power Apps.
- Familiarity with cloud-based tools and practices (knowledge of predictive analytics in finance is a plus).
- Prior experience in leadership or mentoring capacity.
- Prior aviation experience.
