WARD CLERK
The Ward Clerk reports to the Director of Care and demonstrates excellent communication and customer service skills. He/she has a basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures/systems and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing exceptional customer service to residents, visitors, service providers and staff alike
- Providing Human Resources Services (for all staff)
- Scheduling (Nursing main focus as well as other departments)
- Understanding application of provisions of collective agreement
- Maintaining positive relationship with staff
- Occupational Health and Safety Accountabilities
- Carry out all assigned duties in compliance with applicable Occupational Health and Safety legislation and Company policy
- Follow safe work practices as directed by their supervisor and as required by the applicable Occupational Health and Safety legislation
- Participate in all required occupational health and safety training
- Use appropriate equipment and wear personal protective equipment or clothing, as required by Southbridge
- Report any known or identified health and safety hazards or violations to their supervisor
- Refrain from any conduct that puts themselves, workers, contractors or others at risk

Qualifications
- Secondary School Diploma
- 1 year Community College diploma/certificate in business or related program
Technical Competencies
- Knowledge of basic Payroll principles an asset
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Minimum of 60 wpm typing speed
- Ability to operate office equipment
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
