Level III, Financial Wellness Partner – Proposals

The Position
The Level III, Financial Wellness Partner (FWP) – Proposals (Senior, FWP – Proposals), performs an important role in helping to support a small group of colleagues, also known as a pod, to ensure they meet organizational goals. The senior interacts with pod members frequently to carry out the duties of this role. The senior leads by example by administering their assigned consumer proposal files, analyzes, and resolves various proposal matters in a proactive manner utilizing established department procedures. The senior is the subject matter expert for pod members who require general guidance or guidance on routine questions. More complex questions and solutioning are directed to the Team Lead. Interaction with Debtors is required.
Key Accountabilities
- Proposal Administration:
- Adhere to BIA and OSB Directives relating to the administration of Div I & Div II Proposals regarding compliance of filing/reporting deadlines.
- Document all Proposal Administration information according to BSI’s Best Practices and guidelines.
- Utilize the Proposal Administration & Power BI dashboards to review estate files, track client performance, completion and readiness for discharge or annulment.
- Monitor clients’ payment performance and follows up with debtor(s) on any Non-Sufficient Funds (NSFs), arrears, late or missed payments.
- Follow due diligence i.e. verify all information in compliance to the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (BIA) and Privacy Act.
- Provide subject matter expertise to their clients and pod members as required.

- Deliver quality and timely general administration service on a daily and weekly basis.
- Exercise judgment to identify, diagnose and recommend solutions within the context of established rules and procedures.
- Applies technical-specialist knowledge and expertise on a number of aspects.
- Use specific guidelines to make decisions and seek Team Lead’s input when dealing with ambiguity or complex issues (i.e. high-risk assets).
- Process the Debtor’s information by using applicable insolvency software.
- Pod Responsibilities:
- Motivates pod to achieve team goals.
- Conducts just in time training of team members to maximize potential.
- Identifies training needs and escalates to the Team Lead.
- Model and promote BSI’s organizational culture, purpose, and values.
- Use individual and team efforts to manage and improve internal and external relationships.
Education, Knowledge & Skills:
- Completion of the Insolvency Administrators Qualification Course
- 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience in insolvency
- Understanding of relevant legislation such as the BIA
- Excellent communication & time management skills.
- Working knowledge of an Insolvency software or industry specific software.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products and internet applications with a strong aptitude for learning new computer programs
