Position Overview
As our Snowflake Solutions Engineer, you will be the technical authority for Snowflake, ensuring it integrates seamlessly with our Azure infrastructure and aligns with industry’s best practices. You will combine deep SQL expertise and mastery of the Snowflake platform to design secure, high-performance, and cost-effective solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities
•    Snowflake Security & Governance
    o    Implement RBAC, dynamic data masking, and row-level security using advanced SQL (e.g., tag-based masking)
    o    Design and optimize SQL queries for auditing access logs and compliance reporting
•    Performance & SQL Optimization
    o    Tune complex SQL queries for Snowflake’s architecture (e.g., leveraging partition pruning, search optimization)
    o    Design clustering keys and materialized views using SQL to optimize query performance
    o    Profile slow-running queries and recommend SQL-level fixes (e.g., reducing joints, avoiding cartesian products)
•    Azure Integration & Pipeline Development
    o    Build and optimize SQL-based pipelines (e.g., Snowpipe auto-ingestion, Streams/Tasks for CDC)
    o    Collaborate on ETL/ELT workflows, writing efficient SQL transformations in tools like DBT
•    Platform Configuration
    o    Use SQL to configure Snowflake objects (warehouses, resource monitors, databases) alongside IaC (Terraform)
    o    Write stored procedures and UDFs in SQL (or Snowpark Python) for administrative tasks
•    Enablement & Standards
    o    Define SQL best practices for Snowflake (e.g., CTEs vs. temp tables, window functions)
    o    Train teams on Snowflake-specific SQL features (e.g., QUALIFY, PIVOT, time travel)

Qualifications
Must have:
•    4+ years of hands-on SQL development (complex queries, optimization, stored procedures)
•    3+ years of Snowflake expertise, including security (RBAC, masking), performance tuning, and Azure integration
•    Proficiency in SQL-driven pipeline design (ETL, CDC, data sharing)
•    Snowpark (Python) for advanced UDFs or stored procedures    

Nice-to-Have:
•    Hands-on experience with Snowflake Cortex AI/ML Integration (e.g., Cortex Analyst)
•    Experience with IaC (Terraform) and DevOps practices for Snowflake
•    Familiarity with DBT, ADF
•    Wealth Management experience, or relevant work experience in a regulated industry

Education
•    Certifications: SnowPro Core (required), SnowPro Advanced Architect (preferred)
