Calypso Seasonal Assistant Manager - Food & Beverage

Reports To: Food and Beverage Director
Description of Position:
The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for helping the Food and Beverage Manager with the overall planning, organizing, directing, controls and operation of the restaurants, bars, cafeterias and other food and beverage services offered by the company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily food and beverage outlet operations

• Recruit staff and oversee staff training.

• Responsible for managing supervisors and their staff.

• Set supervisors staff work schedules and monitor staff performance.

• Control inventory, monitor revenues and modify procedures and prices

• Resolve customer complaints.

• Ensure Health and Safety regulations are followed

• Inspecting and maintaining proper food standards for all Food and Beverage locations in compliance with the Eastern Ontario Health Unit.

• Analyzing and planning sales levels and profitability.

• Liaise with Marketing & Sales department to organize catering for groups & events.

• Identify and estimate quantities of foods, beverages and supplies to be ordered with suppliers.

• Schedule delivery of fresh food and beverages to the restaurant facilities.

• Arrange for maintenance and repair of equipment and other services

• Communicate with all levels of personnel and patrons

• Prepare daily orders with suppliers with a view to upcoming attendance forecasts

• Must be able to check cost control reports

• Enforce Calypso Alcohol policy and ensure strict enforcement by bartenders

• Conduct staff discipline in partnership with HR.

• Prepare and coordinate the opening and closing procedures of the Food and Beverage Department.

Working Conditions:

• 40 hour work weeks. Hours vary based on time of season.
• Seasonal Position.
• Working directly at the water park. (Limoges, Ontario)
