Reports to: Vice President Quality and Regulatory Affairs

 

 

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Vice President Quality and Regulatory Affairs, our ideal candidate shows strong attention to detail, has excellent organizational skills, and can maintain a positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced and changing work environment.   As a Senior Manager the responsibilities will lie in oversite to the QA operations at the Moncton facility as well as oversite to program implementation across Canada. Working closely with departments and individuals across all current locations, the successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and sense of urgency coupled with a proven ability to manage staff and build teams.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

•   Lead the coordination, execution, and ongoing development of quality and regulatory related programs such as: Quality Management System (QMS), Quality Standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP/ EuGMP), Change Management, etc. that align with the company’s goals and objectives;

•   Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with our best practices, policies, procedures, applicable acts, and regulations;

•   Develop, mentor and manage a team consisting of QA Manager(s) and Specialists;

•   Define goals, metrics and measure levels of success;

•   Lead traceability exercises at minimum of twice per year, drives continuous improvement from resulting CAPA’s;

•   Perform internal facility inspections and audits;

•   Provide quality guidance for new product development, product changes, packaging changes, new equipment, and facility design;

•   Lead OGI through required certification processes related to these programs with guidance on suitable strategies and objectives providing timelines and budgetary costing;

•   Ensure that standards implemented as the QMS objective for Organigram are communicated across all facilities;

•   Champion an environment of continuous improvement;

•   Other duties as may be required.

 

 

Skills & Qualifications:

 

•   Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in a regulated environment, food manufacturing and/or in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment;

•   3-5 years experience in a leadership role;

•   Previous experience in Quality Assurance and development of QMS;

•   Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, inventory management systems;

•   Key attributes include:

o Proven leadership experience and teamwork;

o Excels in critical thinking for problem solving, and decision-making skills;

o Displays strong attention to detail;

o Has a well-established sense of urgency, leading with confidence and poise;

o Strong communication (written and verbal) skills.
