The Opportunity
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Technician plays a key role in maximizing the safety, quality and productivity of our daily operations in all departments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and take the initiative to meet the dynamic and changing needs and requirements of the department. The Production Technician will work with a variety of equipment, materials, labels and devices, keeping safety in mind while using Good Production Practices (GPP) in accordance with the Cannabis Act.
Please note that the Production Technician role includes physical demands such as occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, reaching, walking and standing.
What you will be doing...
- Use scales to weigh product according to standards and procedures, with precision and accuracy;
- Keep work area clean at all times;
- Distribute product in its primary packaging;
- Label products carefully and in accordance with standards;

Maintain complete records, complete daily documentation and perform compliance checks;

Inspect products for defects and report any findings;

Manually pack products, stack pallets for distribution;

Clean and maintain cannabis processing and packaging equipment;

Collaborate with relevant departments to optimize processing and packaging of associated SOPs;

Participate in troubleshooting and investigate quality discrepancies or production constraints;

Other duties as required.
Who you are…
- Experience in packaging, manufacturing or fabrication considered an asset;
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines;
- Ability to work as part of a team;
- Knowledge of work methods in order to work safely;
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions;
To qualify, you have…
- Good communication skills, both written and oral;
- Demonstrate adaptability and openness to reprioritizing within the same day;
- Attention to detail with good analytical and observational skills;
