Production Line Operator

Location: Winnipeg

Status: Full-time, Permanent

Reports to: Production Supervisor

Position Summary:

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who takes initiative, displays problem-solving and decision-making abilities, has excellent organizational skills, and can maintain a positive, professional attitude in a fast-paced and changing work environment. Mechanically inclined, with good troubleshooting skills.

Line Operators will report to the Production Supervisor and take direction from the Shift Lead for daily tasks within the production department. Their responsibilities include operating the equipment and managing all related paperwork, ensuring efficiency while prioritizing quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to obtain and sustain Security Clearance in accordance with ACMPR
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and optimize productivity while operating production equipment
  • Assist in the regular cleaning and upkeep of equipment to ensure its proper functioning and longevity
  • Accurately complete and manage all necessary paperwork related to production processes
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve issues related to production processes to minimize disruptions and enhance efficiency.
  • Actively participate in initiatives aimed at improving production processes and operational performance
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years working in the beverage and/or canning line industry
  • Demonstrates a strong dedication to maintaining high standards of work quality and adhering to safety protocols
  • Willingness to learn and take direction
  • Capability to quickly grasp new concepts
  •  Previous experience in running production equipment
  • Able to work independently while also working as part of a team
  • Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs with comfort working in adverse conditions
  • Maintains a positive attitude and exhibits excellent interpersonal skills
  • Exhibits a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy
  • Able to meet the physical demands of the role, including reaching, bending, walking, standing, and performing repetitive tasks
  • Willing and able to work varying shifts as required to meet production needs
  • Employee must be in good standing to be considered
