Position Summary
The Energy Monitoring IoT Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining energy monitoring solutions that leverage IoT technology. This role requires a balance of technical problem-solving, effective communication, and a holistic understanding of end-to-end processes. Curiosity and continuous learning are key, as the engineer must stay updated with the evolving IoT landscape and energy management practices.
Responsibilities
- Diagnoses and resolves complex issues in IoT hardware, sensors, and software systems.
- Identifies system inefficiencies or risks (e.g., data loss, power failures) and proposes effective solutions.
- Balances trade-offs between technical feasibility, cost, and performance in problem-solving.
- Prepares concise documentation for IoT system architecture, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Writes reports summarizing energy consumption patterns and actionable insights.
- Engages in knowledge sharing through team meetings, wikis, or technical presentations.
- Stays updated on advancements in IoT platforms, protocols, and energy management tools.
- Proactively explores new tools or technologies to improve system performance.
- Participates in relevant training, workshops, and certification programs.
- Understands the complete lifecycle of the energy monitoring system—from device selection, installation, configuration, to data analysis and reporting.
- Clearly communicates complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders (e.g., operations, management).
- Collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, data analytics, and operations) to ensure smooth implementation.
Qualifications:
- Electrical, mechatronic, systems engineering with minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
- Outstanding communication skills (Verbal & Written)
- Experience with writing & presenting technical reports
- Experience leading / participating in cross-functional project
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Curious and eager to gain more knowledge
- Monthly/ Occasional travel to the US
