Kardium’s mission is to deliver the best treatment for atrial fibrillation. To achieve this, we have developed The Globe® Pulsed Field System – we have a fantastic technical team that has developed a product with strong, unique, and customer-valued differentiators versus other solutions on the market. We have built connections with key opinion leaders who are already using the Globe System and are helping to tell our story.
We have now completed our pivotal clinical study and our focus is on regulatory approvals and commercial launch. This is an exciting and significant milestone in our journey to bring this ground-breaking technology to patients.
As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to review components and collaborate with vendors supplying parts made through various manufacturing processes, including plastic and metal injection molding, thermoforming, extrusion, ultrasonic welding, machining, and more. You will also be involved in analyzing and trending incoming inspection and nonconformity data to support quality improvement initiatives.
Please note, this opportunity is a hybrid work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.
Meaningful work you will be a part of
You will engage in activities that develop practical and transferable skills such as:
- Assisting in data analysis of incoming inspection results and supplier nonconformities to drive process improvements and supplier performance initiatives.
- Supporting the evaluation of nonconforming parts, including containment, risk assessment, and coordination of external rework or disposition.
- Helping in the review and improvement of inspection methods at Kardium and Vendors to ensure accurate and consistent results.
- Assisting with supplier communication by requesting investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for nonconformities.
- Supporting the evaluation of vendor-provided samples for new part introductions or changes to current designs, ensuring compliance with Kardium's specifications and quality standards.
- Collaborating in the monitoring of supplier performance metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Reviewing of supplier-related documentation such as First Article Inspection Report, 8D Reports, and CoC packages.

You will be successful in this role because you possess these attributes:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially with data interpretation and trend analysis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for clear supplier interaction
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (pivot tables, basic formulas) for data handling
- Enthusiasm toward continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and innovative problem solving
- Understanding of basic manufacturing, quality, or continuous improvement methodologies (knowledge of FAIR, Control Plan, FMEA, or 8D is an asset)
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
- Keen attention to detail when evaluating parts, inspections, and supplier documentation
- Enrollment in a post-secondary program such as mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or a related discipline
