We have now completed our pivotal clinical study and our focus is on regulatory approvals and commercial launch. This is an exciting and significant milestone in our journey to bring this ground-breaking technology to patients.
As an Engineering Project Manager working on the engineering team at Kardium, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of projects. You will work closely with directors and team leads to develop and maintain project plans and schedules, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and drive project gate reviews. Your ability to communicate effectively and track deliverables will be key to successfully delivering projects on schedule.
Please note, this opportunity is a hybrid work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.

Your responsibilities will be to:
- Develop and maintain project plans and schedules
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met
- Track the progress of engineering change orders (ECOs) and other change control tasks to ensure timely completion
- Prepare for project gate reviews and drive completion of project gate review tasks
- Track and drive material requests for prototypes, design verification, and process validation
- Participate in the continuous improvement of current processes in collaboration with team leads and managers

You will be successful in this role because you possess these attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or life science
- 8+ years of experience working in high-tech or life sciences
- 5+ years of experience managing projects
- Experience in the design and development of complex medical devices, in vitro diagnostics, or pharmaceuticals would be preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in technical documentation and Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project and SmartSheets
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to understand key technical concepts and risks and their effect on project plans and schedules
- Strong time management skills with a sense of urgency, agility, transparency, respect, and collaboration
Compensation
Kardium has listed the total cash compensation range (base salary + 5% RRSP contribution) that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. For candidates with more or less experience than listed above, the pay range will be adjusted.
As a permanent employee, you will also participate in Kardium’s stock option plan.
- $90,000 – $120,000 (CAD Annually)
