Kardium’s mission is to deliver the best treatment for atrial fibrillation. To achieve this, we have developed The Globe® Pulsed Field System – we have a fantastic technical team that has developed a product with strong, unique, and customer-valued differentiators versus other solutions on the market. We have built connections with key opinion leaders who are already using the Globe System and are helping to tell our story.

 

We have now completed our pivotal clinical study and our focus is on regulatory approvals and commercial launch. This is an exciting and significant milestone in our journey to bring this ground-breaking technology to patients.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Management, we want to add an exciting new leadership role to our Product Management team. As a Product Manager - Clinical, you'll drive our HD mapping and ablation system toward success by translating the product roadmap strategy into actionable tasks and working with cross-functional teams to execute those requirements. You'll also work with leadership on the product vision and roadmap development.

Please note, this opportunity is a hybrid work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.

 

Meaningful work you will be a part of

Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Be the technical expert for customer expectations relating to clinical workflows and interactions with clinical hardware, such as the catheter and introducer
  • Transform the high-level vision of the product roadmap into prioritized detailed requirements
  • Work closely with R&D teams to ensure they develop the optimal hardware, workflows and functionality
  • Use data to inform product decisions and maximize value for customers
  • Anticipate and mitigate technical risks. Suggest, support, and negotiate decision-making tradeoffs between scope, budget, and schedule. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including executives, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Clinical Engineering, Biomedical Research, Software Development, and UX, to bring new hardware, workflows and features to market
  • Communicate product strategy and progress to internal stakeholders, including management and designers
  • Stay current on industry trends and new technologies to bring innovative ideas to the product team and support a product-led growth strategy
  • Availability to travel to meet with clients and stakeholders and attend trade shows and clinical/pre-clinical procedures, sometimes internationally

What you bring to the team

You will be successful in this role because you possess these attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering or equivalent
  • 5-10+ years of relevant experience, preferably in the medical or high-technology space
  • 5+ years of cath lab or OR experience with deep knowledge of industry-leading cardiac devices and therapeutic strategies is preferred
  • Experience with product management or development
  • Experience translating product vision to requirements and supporting feature development
  • Human Factors or UX experience
  • Experience leading development teams and mentoring designers is preferred
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making
  • Ability to develop and implement operational procedures and processes
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral), presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively present ideas and concepts, facilitating stakeholder buy-in

 

Compensation 

Kardium has listed the total cash compensation range (base salary + 5% RRSP contribution) that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. For candidates with more or less experience than listed above, the pay range will be adjusted.

As a permanent employee, you will also participate in Kardium’s stock option plan.

  • $100,000-128,000 (CAD Annually)
