Manufacturing Technical Trainer (On-Site)

To achieve this, we have developed The Globe® Pulsed Field System – we have a fantastic technical team that has developed a product with strong, unique, and customer-valued differentiators versus other solutions on the market. We have built connections with key opinion leaders who are already using the Globe System and are helping to tell our story.
We have now completed our pivotal clinical study and our focus is on regulatory approvals and commercial launch. This is an exciting and significant milestone in our journey to bring this ground-breaking technology to patients.
As a member of the Training Center staff, you will be responsible for designing and delivering an effective training program to Kardium’s manufacturing team. By providing an engaging and motivating environment and ensuring candidate success you will help build a world class manufacturing organization capable of meeting Kardium’s commitments to its customers.
Please note, this opportunity is an onsite work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.
Meaningful work you will be a part of
Your responsibilities will include:
- Work with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to assess training needs and requirements
- Design training materials using a variety of delivery tools to ensure an effective and outcomes-based training program
- Drive training documentation and processes through required approval processes
- Engage and motivate new candidates to foster a positive training environment and experience
- Deliver or coordinate training related to Health and Safety, Quality and Regulatory requirements and Manufacturing process topics
- Participate in production entry stage non-conformance reviews to identify potential training gaps and refine training materials and processes to improve training outcomes
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure training programs reflect the latest in manufacturing practices and quality findings
- Evaluate candidate progress and immediately elevate performance concerns to ensure candidates receive appropriate support
- Document candidate training results and manufacturing qualification status
What you bring to the team

You will be successful in this role because you possess these attributes:
- Degree or diploma in Engineering or Life Sciences
- Experience as a trainer in a highly regulated or complex manufacturing setting is preferred
- Experience coaching and/or providing constructive feedback to all personality types
- Background in Adult Education or knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design is an asset
- Knowledge of good manufacturing practices (GMP) is an asset
- Equivalent combination of education, training and work experience will be considered
- Ability to clearly describe and explain complex technical topics is required
- Strong technical writing skills and experience with digital training development
Compensation
Kardium has listed the total cash compensation range (base salary + 5% RRSP contribution) that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. For candidates with more or less experience than listed above, the pay range will be adjusted.
As a permanent employee, you will also participate in Kardium’s stock option plan.
- $70,000 - $97,000 (CAD Annually)
